BIO

Brynja Kula is an artist, actress, writer, and model from Reykjavík, Iceland.
Her creative expression is both luminous and mysterious, playful and profound, childlike and ancient. She is not afraid to stand out, be strange or express herself in unique ways. Art is not something she does, it’s how she moves through the world.
She began modeling professionally in 2013, later moving to London to sign with Nevs Models and working full-time in fashion. There, her love for acting deepened, leading her to study at Met Film School and take early film roles and then continuing her education at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles, from which she graduated in 2020.
After returning to Iceland, she has continued working as an actress, model and multidisciplinary artist. Her work explores grief, feminine fire, transformation, and spiritual remembrance. Often laced with humor, not just to entertain, but to lift, soften, and survive. After all, it's all just for fun.
Through her work, Brynja seeks to awaken something ancient and tender in others, a remembering of who they are beneath the noise. She believes art is a form of healing, and that vulnerability is its greatest power.
She is currently developing her debut feature film, Þula, and working on a new body of visual art.
